What I Wore: Melbourne Cup 2017
I love Spring Racing season. The fashion, the atmosphere, the fun - it's the perfect excuse to get dressed up and round up your friends for some fun.
I was lucky enough to spend the last few days in Melbourne with the lovely Krissy Marsh and our husbands, enjoying the sights, sounds and tastes of Melbourne and soaking up the atmosphere of Derby Day and the Melbourne Cup!
But if you're like me, you probably spend most of your time admiring the outfits instead of the horses - so let me share what I wore with you!
The celebrations started with Derby Day! Krissy, Johnny, Adam and I were all dressed in our black and white and ready for a day of fun!
The dress code for Derby Day is traditionally black, white or black and white for women with men wearing morning suits adorned with the flower of the day; the blue cornflower.
I'm not 100% sure of the origins of this tradition but have heard it's because the Earl of Derby's racing colours were black and white. Nevertheless, I love a good theme so it's always fun coming up with a Derby Day outfit!
What I Wore: Dress: Stella McCartney (old) | Fascinator: Neil Grigg | Clutch: Chanel (borrowed from my Mum - how lucky am I to have such a stylish Mum?!) | Shoes: YSL | Earrings: Bowerhaus from Peter's of Kensington | Sunglasses: Fendi
Krissy wore the most amazing Dion Lee dress that I absolutely love!
Such a fun day!
On Tuesday it was the big day - the race that stops a nation: The Melbourne Cup!
What I Wore: Dress; Dolce and Gabbana Fascinator: Neil Grigg | Clutch: YSL | Shoes: Christian Louboutin | Sunglasses: Gucci
And then it was back to Sydney to celebrate my birthday with my girls, Adam and my family!
